Crystal Dea Moore, professor emeritus of social work and former dean, was honored with a 2025 Woman of Distinction Award by New York Assemblymember Phil Steck for her contributions to youth music education and philanthropy. As co-owner Peak Music Studios, she has developed a high-quality voice program for girls and led charitable music initiatives that support families facing medical crises.

Faculty-staff achievements will be on pause over the summer. All submissions received will be held until regular publication resumes on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
