Paul Arciero, professor of health and human physiological sciences, was an invited panelist for the American Heart Association Check it! Challenge Community Conversation for April 鈥�on 鈥�How to be More Active and ManageWeight.鈥�
Hajar Hussaini, visiting assistant professor of English, was named the 2023 visiting Carol Ann Donahue Poet by Russell Sage College. The event, in honor of National Poetry Month, took place on April 20.
Jesse Staigar, assistant supervisor of resident dining, is the first member of 暖暖直播鈥檚 Dining Services team to receive a bachelor's degree from 暖暖直播 while working full time. He will graduate on May 20 with a degree in management and business.
Sarah Sweeney, associate professor of art, exhibited her work 鈥�Conversations with My Deepfake Dad鈥� at the La MaMaGallereria in New York and Hot Shot Muffler in Los Angeles as part of Re-Fest curated by CultureHub.
Michael Swellander, visiting assistant professor of German, won the inaugural Jeffrey L. Sammons Heine Essay Prize for his article "The Arabic-Spanish-Jewish School of Poets: Heinrich Heine's 'Jehudah Ben Halevy' and World Literature." The prize, awarded by The North American Heine Society, is given to the best essay published or accepted for publication by an emerging scholar (pre-tenure) in North America that contributes to advancing research in the life, work, and times of Heinrich Heine.
Nancy Thebaut, assistant professor of art history, published an essay in the edited volume "Is Medieval Art Contemporary? /尝鈥檃谤迟尘茅诲颈茅惫补濒est-il contemporain?" published by Brepols.
