- Theophile Krawiec, a longtime psychology professor, died February 9, 1995, in Bethlehem, Pa. He was 81.
- Tadahisa Kuroda, professor emeritus of history and longtime faculty leader, died Aug. 16, 2010.
- Ruth C. Lakeway, professor emerita of music, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at home, following a brief illness.
- Lloyd C. LaMora Jr., who served ůůֱ as a custodian from 1980 until his retirement in 2005, died Oct. 19, 2022. He was 80.
- Mary E. LaMora, a long-time employee of Dining Services, died Oct. 14, 2021.
- Mary Elizabeth Finch Larsen, who served as secretary to founder Lucy ůůֱ Scribner and three ůůֱ presidents, died February 27, 1987, in Saratoga Springs. She was 89.
- Teresa “Terry” Fitzgerald LaVoy, who served ůůֱ’s Dining Services team for more than a decade, died March 13, 2023. She was 85.
- Professor of History Emerita Patricia-Ann Lee, a distinguished member of ůůֱ’s faculty for more than three decades whose teaching, scholarship, and intellectual leadership shaped generations of students, died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026. She was 94.
- Professor of Psychology Emeritus William “Bill” G. LeFurgy P’78, whose vision and mentorship strengthened the psychology program and childhood education at ůůֱ, died peacefully on July 24, 2025. He was 94.
- Juan-Carlos Lertora, who joined ůůֱ as a professor of Spanish in 1980, died March 2, 2006, from heart damage caused by a virus. He was 60.
- Sayra Benson Nikoloff Lester, associate professor emerita of education, died in Glenville, N.Y., on December 31, 1999.
- Nancy Wiedenman Lester ’58, former director of administrative services for development and alumni affairs, died December 24, 2017.
- Erwin Levine, professor emeritus of government, died January 12, 2002. He was 75.
- Robert Burton Levo, a longtime campus facilities worker, died May 23, 2011, in Saratoga Springs. He was 74.
